Do you want to convert leads into customers without doing anything? Shut up! Of course you do. I’m going to explain why you need a CRM system to automate your leads and make them into superhot prospects. All you need to do is to setup up an epic working flow.
When working with marketing or in my case as a Growth Hacker it is essential to keep track of your prospects and how to turn them into your customers. To do this you need to organize and know every prospects need and intuition and then target them in different ways, e.g remarketing lists. Making visitors into leads and eventually into customers
To define what a lead and a prospect is, I can only talk for myself. In my case a lead is when a visitor is interesting in my content or in my product. They have visited my website from a channel (social media, organic search, SEM or anything else) and interacted with either a blog post and then subscribed to a newsletter or downloaded a white paper/poster with different topics on why you should use CRM or how you succeed with a CRM project. They can also be interesting in a webinar or just chatting with us.
In order to get the white papers/posters you need to fill in an email and send it to your inbox. When a conversion is made, the email address is sent to our CRM system and applied to a campaign with a label on it as a “prospect” (see the image above). By getting the lead into just one system I can easily export email addresses and e.g make a email remarketing campaign on social media or SEM with a target ad to encourage the prospect to also download a demo.
If you have ten or hundreds of white paper downloads each day (hear, hear! Leads!) you need to have an automated system in order to not screw things up. If you were going to gather every email address manually in a excel document you would easily fumble away leads. You can’t risk losing any potential customer and therefore every marketer needs a CRM system to make all the work for you. This is pure magic and a gold mine for anyone working with marketing.
