Zoom with a webinar boom!

THANK GOD!

The last couple of weeks the video conference software – Zoom, have become the number one platform to use when hosting meetings due to COVID-19. It is crazy when you think about it. If you haven’t attended a Zoom meeting, you most certainly have friends working in it every day. Just looks at these number with number of downloads:

Zoom – in numbers!

According to Forbes, the number of downloads from different app stores have increased by 1 270% (!) between February 22 and March 22. This is massive for any company to handle.

So let’s say that this trend continues and more people around the world would start using not only Zoom – but any video conference tool. Maybe more people would understand the beauty of webinars?

The last couple of years I have written articles arguing that webinars are the future and are here to stay. I have also compared different webinar tools with each other from my own needs and shared it with you.

And I was starting of taking all of that back and stating that WEBINARS ARE DEAD! But, as soon as I read the article from Forbes stating the sudden uprising of Zoom – and Zoom is a webinar tool. I figure that maybe webinars really are the future and it’s going in lightning speed.

Post WFH and Webinar revolution

Imagine when society are getting back to normal and people are going to work again, Zoom will with 100% see a decrease of not only downloads but also usage of the product – simply because everything is business as usual. Hence, all those millions of people who was introduced to webinars and with the beauty of screen sharing and having virtual conversations at work – we all are getting used to webinars and why it’s important.

So I would claim that with all these people who got introduced to webinar, will most likely be more motivated to register for a webinar training session with Microsoft to learn how to use Microsoft Dynamics, or join a webinar where a company are selling their product.

Webinars are going to be YOUR death!

Is this new generation who survived the WFH crises with corona ready to adopt webinars in to their regular work day and even private life? Yes! Would people of the planet earth be more likely to join a webinar after experiencing WFH crises and get to know the word webinar? Yes!

The future of webinars are here and you better buy a license of Zoom and start to webinars!
